Salammalikum, I have a question: I’m married and I pay for everything 1000% from bills to all expenses A-Z. I own a house with my wife as I also pay the whole mortgage and all the taxes and every detailed expense. At times I feel my wife is ungrateful for all I do for her and at times I feel she has ulterior motives like a plan to create problems to possibly penetrate a divorce and in Canada, everything is split down the middle 50/50. I pay for virtually everything but I have a plan to hide a large portion of my income and write a cheque to my parents as a debt I owe to them as they have greatly financially contributed to me and my wife’s house and everyday expenses. I’m asking you with a pure halal heart is what I plan on doing hiding the money(I earned 1000% and my parents helped me out with greatly) from my wife halal or haram? Please let me know and let me know my rights.

May Allah (swt) reward you for your concern. If you are fulfilling your wife`s rights financially, it would not be necessary to disclose your financial information. Therefore, it would be permissible to financially make such a decision.
